Invitation for NEURON’09

Dear friends,
We feel privileged to inform you that Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, our institution which is an Autonomously-run Educational Institute under MHRD, Govt. of India is going to organize a National Level Technical Festival “NEURON’09” which will be conducted by the Creative Arts Society in the Institute from October 23 to 25, 2009. This festival is aimed to develop a sense of appreciation for talent and technology and to lay a globally competitive human resource for the growing needs of the society in the technological sphere. This Technical Festival embraces an open invitation to all participants of various disciplines in Engineering, Management & Technology across the nation.
Top Level Academicians, Students, Scientists, Internationally honored Social Activists and Keynote Speakers from Reputed Academic Institutes and Research Organizations and Companies will share and glorify the event. Thus, the event would provide a platform to the participant to share their recharging ideas with other students in an enthralling & dynamic environment. Various Workshops and other On-spot Events would involve the Participants & Visitors to the maximum. This Event would enable an Exhibit of Talent only with a whole-hearted support from your side.
We are requesting you to kindly motivate your Faculty Members, Research Scholars and Students for participation in this Technical Activity. Your support and co-operation will be highly appreciated.

GIGAFEUD : COMPUTER , I.T.
Hackfest - Get set your mind to solve as many challenges as possible from a given set of networking challenges like hacking in to computers or WebPages etc, searching and copying a particular file from a target to your host, modifying profiles, setting paths etc.in the stipulated amount of time.
Twister - A working program along with its source code will be shown and the participants are required to
convert the code say from one language to the other and make the program executable in minimum time with little or no difference compared to the original program.
Arcade Maniacs - A creative game making competition using the open source software Game Maker.
Codesmith - Solve nerve racking problems, debug seemingly correct code and code your way to be declared the Gods of the trade…
Compuzard - Challenging the computer wizards to explore the wired circuitry of the wonder box.
Helios - open source workshop.
QUANTRANCE : ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS
Nautical Miles - Its now time to fantasize your childhood rain-time boats into a real one!! Construct a machine that would float through the water current and reach the other end in the shortest time..
Grid Counter - Participants have to make an autonomous robot which can count LED’s and display the value on LCD or on seven segment display while roaming on a 5*5 grid system (black strip and white background).
Each node will have LED’s may be in on or off condition.
Robowarrior - Become a ROBOT MASTER and develop a robot which can perform the specific tasks in the best way possible.
Circuit Desk - An interesting problem statement given, and the contestants shall have a heap of electronic circuit elements and nothing else to tackle it.
Paper presentation - Explore the high tech world with the latest coming technologies and various upcoming ideas in this paper presentation
DESIGN-BID-BUILD : CIVIL & ARCHITECTURE
Straw Scrapers - The idea is to make An Impact resisting structure with straws.
Mason Masters - here comes action for the upcoming Civil engineers..A team of 2 participants will be given a task of constructing a brick masonry wall junction within the specified time and they will be judged considering the proficiency of the task.
Designs Unlimited - Using the 3D software (AutoCad )the participants have to make a 3D model of a house using the given plan.
Pipe-o-mania -Test papers to check the knowledge of the participant about various application-oriented concepts in Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics.
Bridge Construction -Participants have to build the strongest Bridge Structure using Pop-sticks or Cardboard..Paper Thesis-Paper presentations for a duration of 10 to 15 minutes on any of the following themes.
Collage - A competition involving creation of interesting collage by using paints or some other similar materials...
Model Making -participants will be expected to generate interesting structural forms by making use of thick cardboard sheets and adhesive material.
Grill designing - the participants will be given a structural framework with some materials (wire etc) out of which they have to mould something and create the design
